Kosutte-Ginsan & Dark Steel

Ostatnio stałem się posiadaczem dwóch ciekawych specyfików: jeden to Kosutte-Ginsan produkowany przez firmę Wave, drugi natomiast to Pigment Dark Steel produkowany przez firmę AK-Interactive.

Recently I came into possession of two very interesting things: one is Kosutte-Ginsan manufactured by Wave, and the other is a Dark Steel pigment produced by AK-Interactive.


Obydwa specyfiki są w postaci pigmentu/proszku, który wcieramy w powierzchnię i obydwa mają za zadanie imitować stalowe powierzchnie.

Both are in the form of pigment / powder which is rubbed into the surface, and both are designed to mimic the steel surface.

W przypadku produktu firmy Wave, powierzchnię trzeba pomalować najpierw czarną błyszczącą farbą, a następnie wetrzeć preparat przy pomocy wacika.

In the case of Wave's product, the surface must be painted a glossy black paint first, then rub with a cotton swab.

On the left surface was prepared with gloss black paint on the right unprepared surface.

Natomiast pigment firmy AK-Interactive lepiej wygląda na powierzchni matowej.

While pigment form AK-Interactive looks better on matt surface.

Jak widać obydwa specyfiki dają bardzo ciekawe efekty. Pigment firmy AK-Interactive lepiej nadaje się do odwzorowywania ciężkiej lanej stali, natomiast firmy Wave do odwzorowania lżejszych toczonych lub walcowanych elementów.
Obydwa produkty są przydatne w warsztacie modelarskim, więc gorąco je polecam wszystkim, którzy muszą czasem odwzorować efekt stalowy.
As you can see both the specifics give very interesting results. AK-Interactive pigment is better suited for imitating heavy cast steel and by Wave for turned or rolled lighter elements.
Both products are useful in the modeling workshop, so I recommend them highly to all who sometimes have the need to reproduce steel effect.
